Blog#2

a)"We assign identities and emotions where none exist "(McCloud 204).I found this qoute pretty interesting.Do we really assign an emotion to objects where their is none?I personally sometimes thing i do see an emotion on something where their is none, like in a cartoon or drawing. How come when we look at and drawing of lets say random shapes we try to make it something? When we look at the shapes we never just looked at it as a bunch of scribbles ,were always looking to see if it makes something or what it resembles.McCloud said "The fact that your mind is capable of takeing a circle ,two dots, and a line and turning them into a face is nothing short of the incredible, but still more incredible is the fact that you cannot avoid seeing a face here your mind wont let you "(202).This is very true and backs up exactly how i was saying we're always trying to see something in an image.A simple design can be made into the most complicated image.

b)I chose hasty generalization,My parents work monday through friday so everyone else's parents must work to.This is me assumeing that everyone works monday through friday because i know that my parents do.This is unrealistic because this evidence from my parents have nothing to do with anyone elses parents just me assumeing.

c)If ever there was an idea custom made for a jayleno monologue, this was it homeschooling,Isnt that like holding your children back from education?Parents think they can give their children a better education at home.Isnt that like holding your kids in from the real world? What ever happened to sending your children to public school?I happen to simpathize with the parents though perhaps because they want to deprive their kids from a normal childhood.

  1. I like that quote you chose. I wanna know more about you seeing it though. Do you ever see it in a car? You know look at the grill and the headlights?

Last--your c) is really good. I want to read more. I expect you to write about what it means to "deprive their kids from a normal childhood" or to shelter them from certain things is good. Am i right?
